Super Rugby - HSBC Waratahs v Brumbies
Saturday 07 July 2012
One of the biggest rivalries in Super Rugby hits ANZ Stadium on Saturday 7 July when the HSBC Waratahs play host to the in-form Brumbies in a Round 17 showdown.
The contest will also double as the Waratahs’ Rugby Reunion, a celebration for all Rugby lovers from juniors and schools players right up to the Golden Oldies.
As the current Australian Conference leaders, the Brumbies will head into the match looking to secure their place in the finals, while the Waratahs fight for much-needed points to etch their way further up the ladder in a final dash to the finish line.
After facing a 23-6 loss to the Brumbies in Round 11, the clash is a chance for the Waratahs to claim a home-ground redemption.
The clash will showcase a host of rugby superstars, with recently selected Qantas Wallabies training squad members Adam Ashley-Cooper, Berrick Barnes, Rob Hornes and Sekope Kepu vying to get side across the line.
Special events for the Waratahs’ Rugby Reunion include an on-field march past by 5000 junior rugby enthusiasts and whether in support of the Tahs, Brumbies or your local club or school, fans are encouraged to take part by wearing a jersey and contributing to a colourful celebration of the great game of rugby.
